Process Mundane

If you aren't totally sick of getting crap in your inbox that you more than likely will never read, then the new project I'm working on is the one for you! Process Mundane is an ongoing series of emails and seminars designed to help those who face daily drudgery take a microscopic look at their drudge. Gleaning inspiration from self help evangelism, Allan Kaprow, and Alan Watts, Process Mundane takes a deeper look into the roots of monotonous tasks, evaluates each task, and offers people alternative ways of performing each task. The end goal for Process Mundane is to give a sense of play and creativity to the particularly lackluster moments most people tend to forget about.

I initially launched Process Mundane as part of the 2012's Open Engagement conference. The response to the seminar was splendid, so I have since decided to expand the project to the interweb and eventually other speaking venues.

Interested in getting a shiny Process Mundane email from your's truly? Please send me a note and I'll pop you on the mailing list.

The Stuff of Lists

  1. A shiny new page has been added to this very site for my current show Internal Server Error. More pictures to come shortly.
  2. I'm going to be sending out monthly eblasts to motivate people to do their dishes and partake in other mundane chores. If you want to be added to the list, please email me.
  3. My project Everyday Quotes was recently featured on NotCot, Era Magazine, A House in the Hills, Kate Oplis, Design Taxi, Rugged and Royal and Follow the Colors. Thanks interweb!
  4. I have a rock in my shoe. Its name is Sigfrede.
  5. My friend Ring sent me this captivating article on an eyeball licking fetish.
  6. Man-chowder and I finished revamping our guest apartment. It's listed on Air B and B so if you want to take a little trip to Portland, you'll know where to stay.
  7. The box of dolls I made and sent a couple of months ago to a Tanzanian orphanage for an SRS release have finally made it there. I received an email from the director of the orphanage last weekend. I'm happy the dolls weren't lost at sea.
  8. Beckett is stringing words together. My favorite stringing is "I love you mama."
  9. I'm summoning a giant pair of lungs to go and blow out the remaining forest fires in Colorado.
  10. Tuesday's song is the song below. Give your ears a special treat. "It's so Laura Palmer"...
