Yows! It's been a little while since updating this blog here. Here's a rundown of what's been happening in these parts: The TBA festival was a smash. I successfully went to everything on my list (see last update for that particular list).
Sister Ivy was in town for a long weekend. I strapped the baby to my chest and we all hiked up and down a mountain called Larch.
I've been reading a good book called The Idle Parent. It's filled with lots of hilarious and insightful tidbits. It's definitely the most punk rock parenting book out there.
Soaked some gigantic heirloom beans and simmered them on low with heirloom tomatoes from the garden. Tis the season for heirloomage.
Counted the seconds it took to clean my refrigerator. 3447 seconds total.
Attended a 32nd year birthday party at a bicycling bar.
Took miss Beckett to the Children's museum to bang on a few drums and pound on clay.
Did some writing - the blips and beeps of a new short story.
Practiced smiling for at least 2-hours a day for no good reason.
At night, drained my boobs over and over again into the mouth of my teething child.
