I've been enjoying pauses lately. With all the action going on inside my body I've little energy to do much. Let's just say I've been hanging out in the bathtub a lot. In the process of checking off a list of things I need to do before Miss Beckett arrives and trying to grasp what exactly those things are - what kind of diapers to use, creating a womb-like environment (so she isn't totally bummed out about being born into a world of harsh lighting, pollution and jumbo jet cacophony), first aid kits, swaddling, yadadadad... It's all a bit absurd. Thank the sweet baby goats of the world that I have good friends and family who have been helping us out. I don't know what I would do without them. Theriosthly thanks loves. You are amazing.
backup
An ad I've placed on craigslist for the next rendition of Back Up. Wanted: three backup singers to sing to me while I do domestic chores. I am 36 weeks pregnant and doing the dishes and laundry, changing the sheets, cooking, etc. are especially difficult these days. I am looking for three soulful ladies to sing a song written by me while I do some basic housework. There will be one rehearsal next week and I plan on the performance (2 hours total) taking place the following week. I can pay 50.00 per singer. If you are interested, please email a vocal sample.
An inch of motivation came to me today. Just in time to begin writing a pregnancy song for three trusty backup singers to sing to me while I attempt to do some rather normal things around the house. Tasks such as doing laundry, sweeping the stairs, getting dressed, cooking, yadayadayada are twenty six times more difficult when you are pumping twice as much blood. Back up singers are in order. Yes they are.
