Just of few of hundreds of comments made about this street fashion picture from the Sartorialist. Yeah, this must be New York.
Derelique!
Ghostbusters meet Metal'....nice and intresting
Guys, I think he's homeless and just doesn't want his boots to be STOLEN, when he sleeps.
As we Canadians know, duct tape fixes everything. Duct Tape Forever!
this is so awfull!!!!
this photo is so crisp and perfect and reminds me of my brother.
Nice job man. Striking! indeed. Especially to see it on a blog like this. This is one of our realities. A homeless person.
very interesting though I don't get it...
Clearly, the homeless exist for our amusement. I hope you at least gave him a few bucks.
A symphony of form and function!
Necessity is the mother of invention.
I battled with this photo. It affects the emotions in that it could be of a homeless or an eccentric person. Maybe you could have indicated that the guy is a construction worker. It comes close to the bone.
He either has duct tape on to keep is boots up or his pants down.
That's pretty cool. I love the open buckles and how they pick up the silver of the tin foil/duct tape...
this person is not homeless. He is a construction worker.
Awesome! I love the boots, but it's the duct tape in classic silver that made me take notice. It just goes to show that even a homeless person or city worker or whoever this person is can accessorize with wit and style, given what's available to them.
Another foray into the lives of the working classes? Honestly, The Sartorialist could use some hand holding in this area. The line between art and objectification isn't that thin, yet seems to crossed here frequently.
This is the kind of guy (or gal?) you want around in times of crisis! Inventive, Practical, & No-nonsense! I swoon for folks who know how to make a way out of no way! Survival of the fittest pair of boots!
i love how you captured the light on this photo, sublime!
