My answers to some of the Proust questionnaire: Where would you like to live? Save for most of the United States, everywhere

What is your idea of earthly happiness? Being cleaned regularly by trees, sufficient sleep, sex, good food from the garden, surrounding myself by inspiring people and family, ample time to read books, making music, writing, performing, and observing and learning from nature, animals, dust and outer space

What is your biggest indulgence? Food and water

Who are your favorite heroes of fiction? There are many, but the three that come to mind are Orlando from Orlando, Sissy Hankshaw from Even Cowgirls get the Blues, and Renee from the Elegance of a Hedgehog

Your favorite virtue? Being forthright. Also, my ability to invite strangers into my life

Your favorite qualities in a man? Charisma, a sense of humor, creativity, honesty, passion

Your favorite qualities in a woman? Charisma, a sense of humor, creativity, honesty, passion 

What do you appreciate the most in your friends? That they are doing what it is they love to do

What is your main fault? Irritability 

Your favorite occupation? Being creative. Gardening. Beekeeping. Pole dancing

Your idea of perfect happiness? Being present 

Your idea of misery? Boredom. Allowing manic thoughts to take over. And being gang raped and left for dead

Your favorite color? Crimson 

Your favorite prose authors? Samual Beckett, Julio Cortazar, Clarice Lispector, Renaldo Arenas, Helene Cixous, Virginia Woolf 

Favorite poets? Yoko Ono, Richard Brautigan, Rumi, Artaud, Pablo Neruda, Carol Matos

Heroes in real life? My daughter, my husband, my cats, plants, the sun and moon, and everything else

A natural talent you'd like to be gifted with? The ability to quickly pick up and speak all languages fluently

How would you like to die? When I am very old, say 98 or 99 or 101, and ready to go,  I would like to be taken into the woods by those who choose to still love me, then left to be eaten by a bear.
