DE-CONSUME was taken down yesterday. I feel a little sad about seeing it disappear after months of preparation, fretful lip chewing, and challenging performances, but I'm happy to be moving onto other things. The show was successful. There were tricklings of people who came up the escalator from the bowels of the mall. They'd hold the nude suits up to their chests and pose for each other behind smart phone cameras. They'd listen to the audio and ogle jars filled with the things they might have normally only seen in the compost bin, in some wasted corner of a garage, or in a trash can. They'd wander in and witness me and others rolling around in mud, or serving giant leaves of kale, or sniffing strangers as they sniffed me. Scenes different from the everyday goings on in mall land. And no monetary transactions were necessary to partake in the fun. Gabe Flores, the curator of the show was kind enough to record my mud roll. Watch this if you like HERE. I've also posted pictures from the roll that Stephen Kurowski, Marina Tait and my man MTH took. You can see those HERE. Sniffing Booth pictures and musings can be peaked at HERE. And last, but not least, a leaping pony with with black fuzz face can be seen HERE.
