Excerpts from a Golden Girls forum: I watched the ep where Dorothy asks Blanche to go out with Stan! Dorothy is mad at Blanche coz she thinks she actually slept with Stan! I especially like the scene at the grocery store! When Dorothy says : you're going out with Stan again tonight! Sophia and Rose preparing sandwiches and talking about Johnny no thumbs and Johnny no knees cracked me up! Not to mention the scene when Dorothy goes to Stan's and speaks to a woman who's in Stan's bed she's supposed to be Blanche but she's not! The scene that I find touching is when Dorothy and Blanche are in the living room, Dorothy apologies and they both talk about how they're feeling and Dot says she's feeling bad she didn't know how to describe this feeling so Blanche says : Magenta! It's probably one of the most touching, friendly GG scene!
I just finished watching the last episode...at the end when Dorothy doesn't come through the doors anymore, you can see tears in Betty's eyes...so sad
yeah, I saw that perticular episode too the other night. It was aired on german television.
The last episode I watched was the one where they celebrate that Rose doesn't have AIDS
I'm in shock! With Estelle we had our time to kinda be prepaired. But Bea ist just.... I didn't even know she had cancer. Life can sometimes really suck.
Anyways, Dorothy was my fav Golden Girl and Bea did such an amazing job. Nobody had a better timing for comedy and nobody made me laugh just based on their facial expressions. My heart goes out to all of her family!
I was watching Til Death Do Us Volley the other night. As far as we know Dorothy assumed she was playing a practical joke. That sounds believable to an extent but what about Rose, Sophia, and Blanche. They assumed Trudy had really died on the Tennis court. So why would they all just go home as if nothing happened? What happened with Trudy in the meantime? There is this whole big gap here and it just seem. Did Dorothy and Trudy plan the whole thing, but Dorothy decided to do the sleeping with the husband prank on her own? They didn't have cell phones at the time, so did Dorothy and the girls drive home to call an ambulance? Did Dorothy then pretend to call for help? I just can't believe they would leave her there or not check on her and just up and leave and go home.
