It's been nearly two weeks since my last post. I'd love to say I was on a vacation, jet-setting around Indonesia, eating spicy pork noodles, petting a small ferocious dog named Fonda, but I'd be fibbing. It's been a whirly time in this Portlandia of mine. Busy times indeedy. Here is a short list of what I've done in the last week and a half or so: sewed things for draping and stuffing, planned a bearded party, color coordinated bookshelves, mouse hunted, painted walls, fantasized about Cuba, made kombucha tea for innard cleansing, listened to rounds of Democracy Now (and tried not to cry too much), cooked food from Crete, attempted to bake my first flourless chocolate cake, got a hair-do, bled from my innards, became infuriated by an incessantly sniffing co-worker while chewing on a #2 pencil, moved into a bigger studio, worked on a new project (a musical about one very average day), set up a photo studio, cleaned a fridge unit, helped someone move, pow-wowed with a few friends, ran from myself, strengthened my muscles with magical powers, danced with my knees, pedaled from west to east, sent homemade holiday cards to unsuspecting individuals, lounged on a new couch, sat at the farm table my man built for me, drew and drew and drew patterns with a computer, read only a brief portion of my New Yorker, watched four documentaries, made sure to keep my lungs abreathin'.
For those of you who can't stand it when I don't update this website daily (I'll try to be better about it, but things do get squeezy), please do check out my tumblr. I often find inspirations and whatnots and sometimes even post more than once daily.
