It's hot here in Portland and even hotter in my studio where I have to sit and revise my dang novel while other folks float on inner tubes along winding rivers. The air is stifling. My armpits smell of walla walla onions and my mood is sour. Good thing I have people in my life who lift my spirits by sending me odd and wonderful pictures like this one.
