I'll be delivering my postcards to the Emspace today for their postcard exhibit. The concept for the cards stemmed from the bits of longing postcards can sometimes stir up within us. I thought about how the receiver of a postcard might be forced to look at the spaces before them and be present in that space, rather than somewhere far away, so I burned holes into each of the fifty postcards. The cards are titled "Wish You Were Here". Stacked, the cards merged beautifully - both front and back - an aesthetic that was more luck than intent. A photo of the postcards are to your right.
