walk 3

roller_skates.jpg

Summary of a walk with Arielle - July 1, 2009 Two bowls of chicken Pho - served by burning hands and consumed on the corner of Sandy and 21st.

In a parking lot, a black 1986 Buick shines in the sun while a dimly illuminated church group sings softly in folding chairs.

A bakery window is peered into.

Shadows of trees melt into a green factory's exterior.

Pink adobe apartments cradle a reading man perched under an oak tree.

A junk shop beholds a plethora of objects: giant paper mache food items, miniature waffles, mixed tapes, and a stack of pictures of a nerdy boy in glasses - purchased for a mere 25 cents.

Pile of free junk happened upon: roller skates, colored tiles, broken lamp, and one Indian/English language "bathroom contents" poster appropriated.

Talks of layering paper like subway walls.

Gardens and their inner houses observed and sniffed.

Sunset plop.
