Today is officially the 50th year and 1 day anniversary of Sputnik. I find it cruel and anthropocentric to stuff a stray animal inside a miniscule vessel, provide it with nothing other than "jelly" dog food, and launch it one-way into an infinite universe. On the bright side of things, it would be an interesting way to die.
