In September and one day in October, I will be setting up a sniffing booth for all our sniffing pleasures at the waypost cafe in Portland, OR. The concept is simple, you come to my booth, sniff me as I sniff you, then together we will write our nose's responses down in a handy notepad. There are no tricks here. I will not hold a block of cheese between my legs, nor will I store lilacs in my pits. I will come as I am, musky sweet, and so shall you.
Each sniffee and sniffer with be photographed then afterward complied into a little sniffing book along with the nasal responses I gather.
This project is to examine the initial interactions people have with one and other. By sniffing one and other out like dogs do, what can we learn about each other? What discoveries lie beneath the collars of our shirts? Curious? I am.
