"But I thought you prefer these over green plates. Their much more cheerful and I know how you are about wanting to make everyone cheerful."
"Chicken cutlets! You know that's what the red plates are for. Come on will ya? I don't have time for your memory lapses. We've got company coming. They'll be here any minute. Your father's friend what's his face is coming with his wife, what's her face. I don't have time for this! Get the green plates! I don't have time for this!"
She was always saying she didn't have time for things. Even when she had nothing else to do. Even when she was on vacation, sitting by the pool sunning her upper arms, or watching her favorite game show. There was never any time.
